Buymed Joins AmCham U.S. Mission Leadership Weekend – Contributing to Trade and Healthcare Dialogue
As a member of AmCham’s Healthcare Committee, Buymed participated in the AmCham–U.S. Mission Leadership Weekend—taking part in focused discussions on U.S.–Vietnam trade relations and sectoral cooperation.
From May 16 to 18, 2025, Buymed participated in the AmCham–U.S. Mission Leadership Weekend as part of the AmCham Healthcare Committee. The event marked a key moment as both nations celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Vietnam.
Hosted in an open and collaborative setting, the day featured focused conversations on:
- Tariffs and trade policy between the U.S. and Vietnam
- Non-tariff barriers and regulatory clarity
- Sectoral concerns including reciprocity and rules of origin
- The future of U.S. Vietnam economic cooperation in a shifting global landscape
Remarks were delivered by senior officials including Ambassador Marc Knapper, who reaffirmed the U.S. Government’s commitment to strengthening commercial ties and advancing inclusive economic growth in Vietnam.
For Buymed, participation in this event provided an opportunity to gain perspective on macro policy trends shaping the business and regulatory environment in Vietnam. As a company operating at the intersection of healthtech, pharmaceutical logistics, and cross-border commerce, staying attuned to trade dynamics is essential.
While Buymed did not take the stage during these sessions, our presence reinforced our commitment to responsible business engagement contributing insights as part of a broader healthcare industry ecosystem.
This commitment also aligns with Buymed’s focus on long-term sustainability and shared value, which was recognized at the 2024 AmCham Vietnam ESG Impact Showcase.
The day wrapped up with a networking reception by the sea at The Five’s Beach Lawn a relaxed evening of warm conversations, cross-sector connections, and shared purpose.
