Inside the 15,000 m² Warehouse of thuocsi.vn
At thuocsi.vn, the process of receiving and dispatching medications undergoes strict control, from the initial receipt of pharmaceuticals to the final delivery to pharmacies.
The pharmaceutical warehouse of thuocsi.vn in Binh Duong spans an area of 14,000 to 15,000 m². On average, the company processes between 3,200 and 3,500 orders daily, with peak times reaching up to 4,000 orders.
Mr. Raj Pathak, Director of Fulfillment & Logistics, stated that at thuocsi.vn’s warehouse, QR codes are utilized throughout the entire process to minimize risks of incorrect or incomplete deliveries, as well as to shorten delivery times. Explaining the procedure, Mr. Pathak noted that upon arrival at the warehouse, medications undergo a visual inspection. If the products meet quality standards, warehouse staff affix QR codes and place the medications on their designated shelves.
The temperature in the warehouse is consistently maintained at 25 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels kept at 75% to ensure that medications retain their optimal quality. Products that require special handling are stored in a designated area to prevent any confusion with other items.
When pharmaceuticals are received into the warehouse, in addition to conducting a visual inspection, thuocsi.vn also implements strict controls on related documentation, including invoices, drug circulation permits, and supplier documentation.
Mr. Raj Pathak also shared that for medications with suspected quality issues, the company conducts sample testing using the handheld Raman spectrometer, Thermo TruScan RM. It is noteworthy that thuocsi.vn is the first organization to implement this technology.
After receiving an order and verifying the status of the items, staff members proceed to fulfill the order. Using the QR codes on their devices, employees move empty containers to the corresponding shelves, scan the QR codes on the products to confirm their accuracy, and place the items into the containers.
Once the order has been prepared, the items are transferred to the quality control area. Here, staff members scan essential information such as the lot number, production date, and the physical appearance of the products.
After completing all the necessary steps, the items are packaged and prepared for shipment. The entire process, from the moment the customer places an order to the receipt of the items, typically takes between 12 to 24 hours.
In addition to its facility in Binh Duong, thuocsi.vn is currently operating GSP-compliant warehouses in Bac Ninh and Da Nang.
